Nylon/polyester taffeta is interwoven of nylon fiber( on the warp) and polyester fiber ( on the weft) with plain texture, combined with the features of nylon and polyester, two-tone colors effect can be achieved by using different coloring temperature for nylon and polyester. This fabric usually has iridescent colors from different angles and a slightly stiff hand feeling. Great for wedding decor, dresses, jackets, blouses, home decors such as pillows, cushions, drapery, and curtains.

At present, a new type of iridescent taffeta made of 100% polyester is similar to nylon/polyester taffeta. It’s called “Cationic fabrics”. Generally, cationic yarn is used in the warp direction and ordinary polyester yarn is used in the weft direction. Sometimes, in order to achieve a better linen-like effect, polyester and cationic fibers are blended. Dyes are also used in different dye-stuff, general dye-stuff is used for polyester yarn and cationic dye-stuff is used for cationic yarn. The cloth surface effect will have a two-tone color effect.
