Bedding set usually includes quilts, pillows, bedspreads, comforter, blankets, and coverlets.
Quilts come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so there isn't a one size fits all. However, you can use these sizes as a general guide:
MATTRESS SIZES | DIMENSIONS IN INCHES | DUVET COVER SIZE | BED SHEET SIZE |
---|---|---|---|
Twin | 39" x 75" | Twin | Twin |
Twin-XL | 39" x 80" | Twin | Twin Flat Sheet, Twin-XL Fitted Sheet |
Full/Double | 54" x 75" | Full/Queen | Full |
Queen | 60" x 80" | Full/Queen | Queen |
King | 76" x 80" | King/Cal-King | King/Cal-King Flat Sheet, King Fitted Sheet |
California King (Cal-King) | 72" x 84" | King/Cal-King | King/Cal-King Flat Sheet, Cal-King Fitted Sheet |
Note: If you own one of the unusual sizes mentioned above, we would suggest King/Cal King duvet covers and duvet inserts for all of them, queen flat sheets for the Olympic Queen, and King/Cal King flat sheets for the SF and Grand King. Fitted sheets are more challenging because they should match the mattress dimensions. A Cal King fitted sheet will fit relatively well on an Olympic Queen, but for the outsized kings, you’ll need to contact the companies that make them for appropriately fitted sheets.
In addition to the size, it's important to understand the type of filling in a quilt. We normally produce the quilts with fillings of Microfiber / Cotton / Silk fiber.
Quilts and coverlets are a lighter bedding option with a thinner fill. They are usually held together with intricate stitching that provides just as much style as the print itself. They’re a great choice because they offer a layered look with the addition of blankets and comforters for customized warmth and style.
While they are generally used along with a sheet or blanket, quilts can also be layered for decorative purposes. Whether you need lighter quilts for warm weather or you prefer layering up coverlets when cool temperatures hit, Kohl's can help you find the colors and patterns you want. Looking to revamp your bedroom's look or just switch out your bedding for the seasons? You'll find a wide selection of stripes, florals and geometric prints, as well as classic quilt patterns.
A coverlet, on the other hand, is a decorative layer that is placed over thicker bedspreads. Consider a coverlet as an extension of your bed. Their thin batting layer makes them a great choice as a stand-alone bed covering or as throws for a sofa. Whether you prefer the style of a quilt or coverlet, we carry a collection of both trendy and traditional quilts and coverlets.
Fashion comforters come in a variety of colors, patterns and techniques. Their main purpose is to add style and another layer of comfort to your bed. Comforters typically have a polyester fiberfill and come in a variety of weights to give a lofty and cozy appearance. Although comforters are made to fit standard size mattresses, the actual dimensions of your comforter will vary across price points and brands. A good fit allows the comforter to drop over the side of the mattress and overhang the bedskirt or a platform bed frame.
Any color size & depthBedspreads, much like coverlets and quilts, are a lightweight option for your stylish bed. The oversized design will brush the floor, covering your frame and making a bedskirt optional.
No. H011 GreyDuvet covers slip over your duvet insert or comforter, which allows you to quickly and affordably refresh your room. They typically have a button closure to conceal the insert and protect it from dirt, dust and wear. Some duvet covers also feature corner ties to help anchor your insert to the duvet cover to minimize shifting. Since duvet covers are separate from the insert, you can enjoy the benefit of easy, at-home washing.
